We’ll dive into GM200 in detail a bit later, but from a high-level standpoint GM200 is the GM204 taken to its logical extreme. That to me means that the Titan X is a gaming / Cuda rendering card with 12 gig of ram. The Titan X has it DP crippled compared to the older Titans. I do not think that 3DCoat would use Double precision but you could e-mail Andrew to be sure. Sciencific research will use Double precision a lot. Most renderers use single precision so that would not effect the cuda rendering performance of the Titan X.Ī fluid sim could use DP but I have no idea if the one you asked about does.Ībode After Effects can use double precision in the effects area.
